As I was going through the different levels of the Cicerone Certification Program I put together lots of notes, drawings and timelines. It was not meant to be shared and I must say it was a bit messy but I’ve been thinking for some time that these could be helpful resources for other people.

So here we are! I’ll keep adding more as I polish my notes! Let me know what you think!

Note: Specifications from the BJCP are reviewed now and then so it might be a good idea to crosscheck and make any necessary adjustment! The file is editable anyway!

But have you ever noticed that there are 4 animals on the label? A crocodile, a dragon and 3 white birds? They represent all the stages of an actual Delirium Tremens.
In 1989 it was definitely a different world and everything was possible 💥.

Brooklyn Brewery @igarrettoliver has been on a quest to raise the awareness of this grain.
After multiple collaborations with Omnipollo, Russian River or more recently their mother company Carlsberg here is one I didn't see coming! Carlsberg x Diageo!
Imagine Budweiser and Heineken on a collab?

But look, this is a great demonstration that beyond the competitive nature of their relation, there's a lot of brewing friendship!

Most beer descriptions are very texty, sometime poetic but overall miss the point: explain what it looks and tastes like. The mismatch between what is being sold and what consumers do experience can be dramatic and very frustrating!

If you’ve been to the Oktoberfest you know that except if you have a reservation it’s first in first served. You must have a table to order beers. So it’s simple, you get a table and you stay for the day 😂. Doors are opening at 9am.
I must say it’s easy to arrive nice and fresh early on day 1. Day 2 is a very different effort 😂.

Here is a Belgian White with a bit of bourbon, oaky, woody notes and crystal malt. Just like this my @allagashbrewing White is dressed for fall with a little extra kick. Bring a friend you want to share this with!
